Donna Wilson MSN, RN, CBCN

Donna Wilson received her Associates of Science Nursing from John Tyler Community College in 1994, her Bachelor of Science Nursing from University of Phoenix in 2010, and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016 from the University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Breast Care Nurse. Donna’s oncology experience includes caring for the patient in the inpatient setting, outpatient oncology clinic, and as an Oncology Nurse Navigator since 2007. Donna navigated multi-disease cancer sites for 9 years. Currently, Donna provides navigation to Breast Cancer patients and their families at Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University Health.
In 2007, Donna co-founded a state-wide navigator network; the Virginia Coalition of Oncology Nurse Navigators (VCONN). The organization comprised of Oncology Nurse Navigators throughout Virginia who met quarterly. In 2012 VCONN broadened to include anyone who provided navigation to Virginia cancer patients and families changing its name to Virginia Cancer Patient Navigation Network (VaCPNN). VaCPNN meets quarterly providing the members with networking opportunities, education (CEU’s awarded), and sharing best practices.
