Dr. Emma E. Furth is a Full Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with expertise in gastrointestinal and liver diseases. She received her B.S. and M.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology followed by attending the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine receiving her M.D. degree. Following her Pathology residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she was recruited to the faculty. She has published over 200 peer reviewed articles and numerous book chapters. She has given numerous invited lectures including in International venues. As a patient advocate, she meets with patients to explain their pathology process.
