Frederick L. Greene, MD, FACS (MD at University of Virginia and surgical residency at Yale) was chief of surgical oncology at the University of South Carolina from 1980-97 and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC from 1997-2012. Currently he serves as Medical Director of Cancer Data Services at the Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte. Dr. Greene is past-chair of the CoC and AJCC and has served on the editorial board of the 6th, 7th and 8th Editions of the AJCC staging manual. He has been a CoC site-visitor for the past 25 years.
