Oncology Nurse for 32 years with various experiences in Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Cancer Clinical Trials, Hospice and for the past 8 years has been an Oncology Nurse Navigator. Most recently has been a Thoracic Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) since September 2017. As a Thoracic Oncology Nurse Navigator in a community health system, has developed a special interest in “financial toxicity” cancer patients experience as a result of their cancer diagnosis. In addition, has become an advocate for those whom are uninsured to assure they receive the resources and government entitlements they need in order to receive their cancer treatments. Just relocated back to the Midwest and excited to start a new journey in the Thoracic Oncology Nurse Navigator role in Northwest Indiana. My passion for oncology and my patients and their families has led to many years of mentoring fellow oncology nurses and fostering their love for the same.
