Lisa Hartman, Director of Certification for the AONN+ Foundation for Learning (FFL), comes with a diverse work and education background. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in English prior to returning to school for both an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. As a nurse, she worked in critical care, nephrology, and oncology, and was responsible for creating an oncology navigation program in a rural North Carolina community hospital. From 2015 to 2021, she worked in corporate healthcare, having the opportunity to help define, create, and roll out a nationally recognized oncology navigation program, as well as the opportunity to strategize and oversee all corporate learning initiatives. In May 2021, she completed her master’s degree in international business from the University of Delaware. As AONN+ FFL’s Director of Certification, she is responsible for refining and enhancing all processes, policies, and practices related to certification accreditation, exam development and administration, and exam psychometrics to ensure certification excellence. She is also tasked with maintaining relationships with current certification stakeholders and defining new relationships with potential external partners, while researching and strategizing future development opportunities for recommendation to the Certification Advisory Commission.
