Dr. Salazar is the Director of the Oncology Patient Experience at the Mays Cancer Center within the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. In this position her efforts are focused on tracking patient experience data and initiating quality improvement projects to create a value-based care environment. Dr. Salazar oversees the Oncology Nurse Navigation program and metrics associated with this program. She is an assistant professor within the DNP program at the School of Nursing and her clinical passion is the treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic oncologic pathology with a concentration in geriatric oncology. Her academic home is as an assistant professor within the Long School of Medicine.
