Cancer Conference Director, Great Lakes Cancer Care

As a self-driven nurse leader committed to high quality patient care, and developing high standards of practice and efficient workflows, Michele was responsible for the evolution of oncology patient navigation with the Great Lakes Cancer Care collaboration and involved with program development since October 2017.


Michele’s current responsibilities as the System-Wide Cancer Conference Director are to develop, coordinate, facilitate and document cancer conferences and tumor board meetings for Great Lakes Cancer Care. She insures the quality of the cancer conferences in an effort to meet the standards required by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer, and any other governing bodies with specific standards required of a cancer conference.



Prior to her involvement with the oncology program, Michele advanced her career from being a clinical nurse to various nurse leader positions, with her most recent being Director of Clinical Operations for Western New York Urology. In that role she was responsible for nursing practice and the day-to-day oversight of their 11 locations throughout the Western New York area.



Michele received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from D’Youville College in Buffalo, and her Masters of Science in Nursing Executive Leadership Degree from Daemen College in Buffalo.
