Rowan Robinson MSc, PGDip ONS, RN

Rowan Robinson graduated as a professional nurse and midwife in 1995. She started her career in oncology two years later and has subsequently held various managerial roles in both oncology and haematology throughout South Africa. Further formal studies included post graduate diplomas in Oncology Nursing Science (cum laude), Nursing Education (honors) and Master of Science degree (honors) through research. She has published several articles in nursing journals and has developed two skills programmes for nurses working within cancer care in Africa. She has been actively involved in oncology nurse education throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and South Africa.

Rowan currently consults to Netcare Ltd – the largest private healthcare company in South Africa. She heads the navigation programme within the Cancer Care Division and oversees quality assurance for the division. Rowan is married to Charles and they have two married sons and two grandchildren.
