Riordan’s 15+ year genetic counseling career has spanned both academia and industry in the specialties of precision medicine, oncology, consumer genomics, and molecular diagnostics. Riordan is currently Director of Medical Education at Oncocyte, an oncology molecular diagnostics company, where she leads community and physician education programs that highlight the clinical utility and differentiation of Oncocyte’s tests. Previously, Riordan led a precision oncology employee benefit program serving 50,000 employees at Life Technologies and Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a consultant and entrepreneur, Riordan has worked with many early-stage companies in developing and commercializing genomic tests and applications. Riordan is an established leader in the genetic counseling field and currently serves as President-Elect of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. Riordan received her Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Arizona, which was preceded by a Master’s degree in Human Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
