Zilipah Cruz RN, MSN, OCN

Zilipah Cruz has been a Registered Oncology Nurse for the last 12 years. She had the privilege of working in Oncology in the inpatient and outpatient setting. She is also Lean certified and did some work in process improvement for a couple of years in the inpatient hospital setting. Currently, she oversees the Oncology Navigation Program for Ballad Health Cancer Care. Ballad Health is comprised of 3 different types of Navigators: Community Navigators, who remove barriers associated to social determinants; Lung Nodule Navigators, who ensure patients with lung nodules don’t get lost in the Healthcare system; and lastly Nurse Navigators, who conduct chemotherapy education, facilitate tumor boards, and coordinate care for the patient.
