Susan Burke MA, BSN, CPNP, CPHON

Susie ‘s career spans 40 years, specializing in the field of pediatric hematology/oncology. She received her BSN from Creighton University in 1981 and her Masters of Arts in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 1992. She has held a variety of roles as a clinical, educator and administrator and also had the opportunity to work internationally for 7 years. In 2018, she left the bedside and is now working as the Medical Director for Camp One Step, a non-profit organization that provides camping opportunities for children with cancer and their families.

Susie is an active member in the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) and is the immediate past-president of the organization. She has represented APHON in the development of the Oncology Navigation Standards of Practice
